The Bank of Asia was designed in the mid-1980's by
Sumet Jumsai in Bangkok, Thailand. A Ph.D. in
Architecture at the Cambridge University in the United States, Jumsai was commissioned by
the head of The Bank of Asia to create a building that would "reflect [upon] the new
generation, their own, and usher
in a new era involving their new
computerized banking service."
